LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) — Actress Rose McGowan recently went on social media to give Adam Sandler a piece of her mind.
The Charmed actress took to Twitter to shame the comedian for a casting note she received with her script for an upcoming movie.
The note had some very specific wardrobe requirements.
“Black (or dark) form-fitting tank that shows off cleavage (push-up bras encouraged),” it said, along with suggesting “formfitting leggings or jeans. Nothing white.”
casting note that came w/script I got today. For real. name of male star rhymes with Madam Panhandler hahahaha I die pic.twitter.com/lCWGTV537t— rose mcgowan (@rosemcgowan) June 18, 2015
“Hahahaha I die,” McGowan wrote.
The “male star” whose name “rhymes with Madam Panhandle” is assumed to be Sandler, E! News reports.
This isn’t Sandler’s first bout with Hollywood sexism claims.
Over the past week, Sandler came under fire for showing up to a photocall for Hotel Transylvania 2 in Cancun, Mexico, wearing sweats while his co-star Selena Gomez was dazzled in a red dress and heels. Their co-star Kevin James also arrived dressed down.
“Critics claimed that their disparate choices for red carpet attire was indicative of the different standards male and female actors are held to when it comes to style and public persona,” ET mentioned.
Sandler has yet to respond to McGowan’s tweet.
Transylvania 2 is set to release Sept.15.
