Russia says ‘no agreement’ at UN on Syria ceasefire

United Nations (United States) (AFP) – Russia on Thursday said there was no agreement at the UN Security Council on a 30-day ceasefire for Syria to allow deliveries of humanitarian aid and medical evacuations.

Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzia presented amendments to a draft resolution now under negotiation for nearly two weeks as the Syrian government pressed on with a fierce offensive in rebel-held Eastern Ghouta.
