TORONTO, Dec. 7 (UPI) — Ryan Gosling spoke about his excitement for daughter Esmeralda’s first Christmas Monday as well as his devotion to her mother, Eva Mendes.
Speaking with Hello! Canada, the actor discussed his love for Canada and his family’s holiday plans.
“This will be our first Christmas where [Esmeralda is] sort of taking it all in, so that’s exciting,” said Gosling who welcomed Esmeralda with Mendes in September 2014. One thing the 35-year-old is not looking forward to however is his mother’s holiday musical taste.
“She’s obsessed with the Hanson Christmas album! No disrespect to Hanson, they’re very talented kids, but I think I’ve heard that record enough. I’m sure it will be on a loop this Christmas as well,” he joked.
When asked about his relationship with longtime girlfriend Mendes, Gosling said, “I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with,” before adding that the 41-year-old actress is the only thing he is looking for in a woman. “She’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
Recently, Gosling made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live where he took part in various sketches including one with Cecily Strong and Kate McKinnon where they played “small-town buds who saw a UFO in the woods.” The sketch left Gosling shaking with laughter while the other castmates struggled to keep a straight face.
