NEW YORK, March 27 (UPI) — Ryan Reynolds has shared the first photo of himself in character as the Marvel antihero “Deadpool.”
Deadpool, in a mentally unstable mercenary known for his comedic nature and tendency to break the fourth wall — and thus talk to the reader in his comics. Reynold’s photo, and ode the the character’s sense of humor, finds him posing over a bear rug in front of a chimney.

The 38-year-old actor, who first incarnated the “Merc with a Mouth” in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, will reprise the role in the Deadpool film, which is slated for a Feb. 12, 2016 release.
Reynolds will next star in the drama Woman in Gold opposite to Helen Mirren. The actor often makes headlines over his and wife Blake Lively’s new born baby.
