Ryan tells GOP there’s agreement on tax and spending bill

WASHINGTON (AP) — Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) has told House Republicans a deal has been reached on a year-end tax and spending bill.

The $1.1 trillion spending bill funds all government agencies through the 2016 budget year. The tax deal extends dozens of breaks worth hundreds of billions.

Congressman Rep. John Kline (R-MN) of Minnesota says Ryan shared details inside a closed-door house GOP meeting and says he plans to be supportive.
