LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 (UPI) — Sanaa Lathan addressed French Montana dating rumors in a radio interview Monday.
The 43-year-old actress was asked about her relationship with the 30-year-old rapper on the Big Boy in the Morning show on Real 92.3. Lathan and Montana have been linked since the summer.
“You know, I don’t talk about my personal life,” she responded. “Let’s just put it this way — I am dating.”
“For me, I need somebody who is a communicator,” she shared. “I love to talk, I love to share ideas, I love to philosophize about life and art, and I just love having long talks. I love somebody with a sense of humor … and who can laugh. I need somebody who’s confident.”
Lathan previously dated actor Omar Epps, retired NFL player Adewale Ogunleye and Loud Records founder Steve Rifkind, while Montana was seeing reality star Khloe Kardashian. The rapper and Kardashian were last linked in the spring.
“[Sanaa and French] met through Diddy and have been hanging out,” a source told People magazine of the rumored new couple. “They’re just getting to know each other and are having a good time.”
Lathan is known for such films as The Best Man and Love & Basketball, and voiced Donna Tubbs on The Cleveland Show. She last starred in the thriller The Perfect Guy, while Montana will release Mac & Cheese: The Album on Oct. 30.
