WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is undergoing an elective outpatient hernia repair procedure.
That’s the word from the Vermont senator’s office on Monday. In a brief, one paragraph statement, Sanders’ office said he was having the procedure done at George Washington University Hospital in the district.
His office said Sanders will resume his Senate duties on Tuesday.
