NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) — Saturday Night Live accidentally shared a series of promotions not meant for air in which guest host Donald Trump bashes fellow presidential candidate Ben Carson.
“Let me just say this,” Trump said in the secret promo for Saturday’s upcoming show, tweeted by NBC’s Peter Alexander Wednesday and obtained by TV Line. “Ben Carson is a complete and total loser!”
In response to the video, which was taken down, edited and re-uploaded to SNL’s YouTube channel several hours later, Carson qualified Trump’s tactics as childish.
“I discovered, when I was in grade school, that those tactics really are for grade school,” Carson said, according to CNN. “And I’ve gone far beyond that now.”
Republican candidate Trump is set to host SNL this week despite heavy pushback from fans and prominent Hispanic figures. Other clips from the promo reel include Trump fishing for a running mate and hitting on Cecily Strong and Sasheer Zamata and can be seen in the current version on YouTube.
