LONDON, April 22 (UPI) — Scarlett Johansson wowed fans on the red carpet Tuesday.
The 30-year-old actress wore a colorful pantsuit to the London premiere of Avengers: Age of Ultron. The long, flowing garment appeared to be a gown while Johansson was standing still.
Johansson spoke to reporters about her character, Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, in an earlier press conference, and expressed enthusiasm for a Black Widow solo movie.
“She’s put in the work and she’s at a place where she’s able to do something for herself and maybe even have a relationship,” she said of the superhero, alluding to the rumored romance between Romanoff and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), aka Hulk.
“[But] there’s this greater calling that’s pulling her and she very selflessly chooses that,” she shared. “A Black Widow movie… that would be cool. I’m always happy to put the catsuit back on … From your lips to Marvel’s big, big-pocketed ears.”
Johansson first portrayed the character in Iron Man 2, and returned for The Avengers and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1, and the actress is also scheduled for a live-action adaptation of Masamune Shirow manga Ghost in the Shell.
