CLEVELAND, July 20 (UPI) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker delivered a stinging rebuke of Hillary Clinton and encouraged all Republicans to rally around Donald Trump to defeat her in November.

Walker is the first of several of Trump’s former rivals for the GOP nomination scheduled to speak on Day Three of the Republican National Convention.

Walker thought back to a Republican debate last summer also held inside Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena, during which all the candidates were asked whether they would pledge to support the party’s eventual nominee.

“Last August, right here in Cleveland, I said any of the Republicans running for office would be better than Hillary Clinton. I meant it then and I mean it now,” Waker said. “A vote for anyone other than Donald Trump this November is a vote for Hillary Clinton. Make no mistake. We can’t wait four more years to get ’em next time.”

Walker criticized Clinton for her use of a private email server, a running theme of the GOP gathering, saying it was indicative of her long ties to political corruption among Washington’s elite political class.

“If she were anymore on the inside she’d be in prison. America deserves better than Hillary Clinton,” he said.

Also scheduled to speak Wednesday are former GOP presidential candidates Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.
