Chicago (AFP) – Several people were injured Friday when an American Airlines plane caught fire while trying to take off from Chicago’s O’Hare airport, television station WGN said.
The blaze broke out on American Airlines Flight 383, bound for Miami, after a tire blew, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
Passengers evacuated the plane after the jetliner’s takeoff was aborted, according to the FAA, which is investigating the incident.
