ROSEBURG, Ore., Oct. 1 (UPI) — Authorities say a college campus shooting in Oregon Thursday morning has left numerous people wounded — and perhaps several dead.
The shooting occurred at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg about 10:30 a.m. local time, officials said.
Several ambulances were on the scene and news reports suggested as many as 15 people were killed, The Oregonian reported.
Douglas County Fire officials acknowledged the shooting on Twitter and asked people in the vicinity to stay away.
The college, which has about 3,000 students, is located about 180 miles south of Portland.
