Shake Shack is making it’s way to the west coast

NEW YORK, April 22 (UPI) — Step aside In-N-Out, there is a new burger joint coming to town.

New York City-based restaurant Shake Shack announced plans to expand the company westward, opening it’s first outpost in Los Angelels, Calif., later this year.

As of last year, the company had 31 corporate operated stores and 10 franchises. The fast food chain founded by chef Danny Meyer, IPO-ed earlier this year and ranked in $34.8 million in revenue according to Fortune.

NBC first reported that the east coast company plans to open it’s doors in the West Hollywood area in Los Angeles. This is part of the company’s larger plan to “open at least 10 new domestic company-operated Shacks each year,” in hopes of eventually leading to 450 stores nationwide.

Soon enough Californians will be able to enjoy a frozen custard and a burger anytime they want.
