LOS ANGELES, Aug. 19 (UPI) — Beverly Hills, 90210 icon Shannen Doherty has confirmed media reports stating she is battling breast cancer.
“Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” the 44-year-old actress said in an exclusive statement to People magazine Wednesday.
“I am continuing to eat right, exercise and stay very positive about my life,” she added. “I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support and, of course, my fans who have stood by me.”
Doherty’s other small-screen credits include Little House on the Prairie, Our House and Charmed.
