Shooter at US navy base was in Saudi air force: Florida governor

Miami (AFP) – The gunman who opened fire at a Florida navy base on Friday, killing three people before being shot dead by police, was a member of the Saudi air force, US officials said.

“There’s obviously going to be a lot of questions about this individual being a foreign national, being a part of the Saudi air force and then to be here training on our soil,” Florida governor Ron DeSantis told reporters.
