LONDON, Sept. 10 (UPI) — Sienna Miller recently discussed her life as a single mom with Vogue U.K.
The 33-year-old English actress opened up about balancing work and motherhood in the magazine interview. Miller, whose relationship with Tom Sturridge ended this summer, admitted to having a trying year, but expressed enthusiasm for the future.
“It’s really been quite overwhelming recently, just with the volume of everything going on,” she confessed. “Everything is shifting. It’s actually been the [expletive] year, and amazing. It’s always yin and yang. I feel like if you’re excelling in one area, it’s hard to manage both and I do feel like the work is going really well.”
Miller and the 29-year-old English actor were together four years, and welcomed daughter Marlowe, their only child, in July 2012. Sources said at the time of the breakup that the couple’s hectic schedules and the demands of parenthood contributed to the split.
“Obviously when you have a baby it’s the most incredible experience but your life is also catapulted into this chaos and you are exhausted,” she shared. “I’d like to be better at managing things; I’d like to be more super — although we’re never going to feel it, even if we are. That’s the curse of motherhood — we just run ourselves ragged.”
Miller last appeared in Mississippi Grind with Ryan Reynolds, and will next star in Burnt with Bradley Cooper. She is also scheduled for High-Rise with Tom Hiddleston, an adaptation of The Lost City of Z with Charlie Hunnam and Live by Night with Ben Affleck.
