LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) — Snoop Dogg was targeted by another man looking for a fight Tuesday at the funeral of actor Ricky Harris.
According to TMZ, citing multiple sources, the man who approached Snoop Dogg was one of Harris’ cousins.
The man had come near Snoop Dogg yelling obscenities before he was tackled and thrown out by two of his bodyguards. Video of the incident released by TMZ shows a scuffle taking place as visitors yell and leave.
Former View host Sherri Shepherd was in attendance at the funeral and posted a now deleted video on Twitter after the incident explaining what happened. “I can’t believe they’re fighting at a funeral!” she said before noting, “It’s so disrespectful. So disrespectful to his memory.”
Snoop Dogg would later take to social media to share his thoughts stating, “Beautiful service today, and the devil is [expletive] alive.”
The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” performer had grown up with Harris as they sang in a church choir together.
Harris, a comedian best known for starring in Everybody Hates Chris as charming neighbor Malvo, died in December at the age of 54. A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
