LOS ANGELES, June 2 (UPI) — Sofia Coppola is no longer attached to helm the big-screen, live-action version of The Little Mermaid.
The Hollywood Reporter said the Lost in Translation and The Virgin Suicides director dropped out of the project due to creative differences with Universal/Working Title.
No other details regarding Coppola’s departure were immediately available. Her replacement has not yet been announced, but the film studio reportedly plans to continue without her.
