LOS ANGELES, Aug. 11 (UPI) — Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara will guest star as new character Mrs. Berrera on Fox’s The Simpsons this fall.
Mrs. Berrera will become Bart’s new teacher after the 2013 death of Marcia Wallace, the Emmy award wining voice actor for long running Simpsons teacher Mrs. Krabappel.
Vergara’s other show, Modern Family, films in the same studio as The Simpsons, leading Executive Producer Al Jean to admit that Mrs. Berrera may return beyond her appearance in the upcoming midseason episode “Teenage Mutant Milk-Caused Hurdles.”
The episode will revolve around both Bart and Principal Skinner falling for the attractive new educator.
Season 27 of The Simpsons kicks off September 27.
