SAGUARO NATIONAL PARK, Ariz., Nov. 5 (UPI) — A wildlife camera at an Arizona national park captured footage of a show-off spotted skunk performing a handstand to intimidate the device.
The footage, shared on Instagram by the U.S. Department of the Interior, shows a spotted skunk at Saguaro National Park’s Happy Valley dancing on its front legs in front of the camera.
The department said spotted skunks often go into a handstand in an attempt to intimidate aggressors — in this case, the wildlife camera — before spraying the unpleasant scent associated with its species.
“You never know what you are going to see at America’s #publiclands,” the department said in a comment on the video.
