Sweden wins 60th Eurovision Song Contest, Russia 2nd

VIENNA (AP) — Sweden has won the 60th Eurovision Song Contest, finishing ahead of Russia.

Italy came in third. Australia, which was given a wild-card entry for this year due to its enthusiastic fan base and took part for the first time, will not be back next year. Australian Guy Sebastian, ended up in fifth place.

The win for Mans Zelmerlow means Sweden will stage next year’s event.
