NEW YORK, June 17 (UPI) — Taylor Schilling is single but says she’s open to finding the right “partner in crime.”

The 31-year-old Orange is the New Black star discussed her personal life in an interview with People following rumors she is dating actress Carrie Brownstein.

“[I’m single but] if I was in a relationship I was happy with, I’d love to talk about it,” Schilling said. “But I don’t like to date. It takes a lot for me to be into somebody. By default I’m a monogamist. I want a partner in crime.”

“I have absolutely nothing to hide,” she added of the Brownstein rumors, admitting she finds public interest in her dating life “so weird” and “out of thin air.”

Schilling and Brownstein were first linked in the spring of 2015, with Star magazine later reporting Schilling “loves everything about Carrie.” The pair have been spotted together in the past, but never confirmed a relationship.

Schilling plays Piper Chapman on Orange is the New Black, which released a highly-anticipated fourth season Thursday on Netflix. The actress discussed the bisexual character in the July issue of Diva magazine.

“I’ve never been in jail but I understand someone who discovers that she’s really an outsider and has to figure out her place,” she said.

“The lesbian aspect of the story is important, but much more important is the fact that these women are mothers, daughters, girlfriends and working women,” the star added.

Orange is the New Black was given a three-season renewal in February, cementing the series through at least Season 7. Schilling is also slated for the sci-fi drama The Titan with Sam Worthington.
