NEW YORK, June 25 (UPI) — Taylor Swift made waves in the music industry earlier this week when she penned a letter to Apple about its artist compensation policy for its new venture Apple Music.
After the company decided to change its policy to pay artists during the free trial period, the songstress announced Thursday that her album, 1989, will be avaliable on the streaming service.
The “Bad Blood” singer took to Twitter to announce the news and, writing: ” After the events of this week, I’ve decided to put 1989 on Apple Music…and happily so.” She continued, “In case you’re wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you’ve seen Apple do with other artists, it’s not.
She completed the string of tweets by writing: “This is simply the first time it’s felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for your change of heart.”
