Teen dangles upside-down for Spider-Man promposal

May 25 (UPI) — An Oregon high schooler donned a Spider-Man costume and dangled upside-down to pull of an elaborate Marvel-themed promposal.

Adam Hazelton’s promposal is going viral after photos posted to Twitter captured him hanging upside-down from a rope and asking his girlfriend, Jenna McIntosh, to be his date to the North Medford High School prom.

Hazelton said he ended up dangling for an extra seven minutes while waiting for McIntosh to come outside.

“I got really nervous,” Hazelton told KTVL-TV. “I was like no, I’m going to have to get down and all of the blood is going to rush to my head, but it was Jenna being Jenna and she came outside and saw the poster and said yes.”

“It would be MARVELous to go to prom with you!” Hazelton wrote on the sign, which incorporated the Marvel logo.

McIntosh said she was surprised by the elaborate scene.

“I was really surprised,” she said. “He told me he was going to do something big, but I didn’t think he was actually going to do anything that big. I thought by big, he was going to do a poster or something.”
