PASADENA, Texas, July 31 (UPI) — A Texas family shared video showing how their brainy dog learned how to get his own water from a dispenser attached to their fridge.
Amanda Hathorn of Pasadena posted a video to YouTube this week showing her family’s German shepherd, Max, using his tongue to push in the lever of the water dispenser and give himself a drink one lick at a time.
The dispenser’s automatic light clicks on and off with each drink Max takes from the fridge.
Hathorn said the problem-solving pooch’s “new trick” was only available for a limited time — the family has covered the trigger in fabric to prevent Max from using it for a convenient refreshment.
