CLEVELAND, Nov. 9 (UPI) — Teyana Taylor and NBA star Iman Shumpert got engaged over the weekend.
The 24-year-old singer and 25-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard were celebrating at their baby shower with family and friends when Shumpert proposed Saturday.
“Thank you @imanshumpert for putting the color back in my life!” Taylor captioned a photo of her engagement ring on Instagram. “I love you so much.”
Taylor and Shumpert have been together since 2013, and announced they are expecting their first child, a girl, in September. The baby is due Jan. 16, 2016, and the couple plan to name their daughter Iman Tayla Shumpert, Jr.
Taylor appeared on MTV series My Super Sweet 16 in 2007, and released her first single, “Google Me,” in 2008. She released her debut studio album, VII, in November 2014, which includes the singles “Maybe” and “Business.”
