'The Humans,' Jessica Lange, Frank Langella win big at the Tonys

NEW YORK, June 12 (UPI) — The Humans was declared Best Play at the Tony Awards ceremony in New York Sunday night.

Its stars Reed Birney and Jayne Houdyshell won the prizes for Best Featured Actor and Featured Actress in a Play respectively.

Jessica Lange took home the Tony for Best Actress in a Play for Long Day’s Journey Into Night, while Frank Langella earned the accolade for Best Actor in a Play for The Father. Ivo Van Hove picked up the trophy for Best Director of a Play for A View From the Bridge.

James Corden hosted the gala recognizing excellence on Broadway.
