Cruz is proposing that conservative commentators Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin moderate a Republican presidential debate.

To about 1,000 Iowans at a Republican forum in Des Moines, Cruz says: “What you wouldn’t have is a bunch of left-wing operatives.”

Cruz goes on to critique the moderators at Wednesday’s debate in Colorado for their questions: “How do you have a debate about the economy and not mention the word ‘Obamacare’?”

He adds: “But we had plenty of time to talk about fantasy football.”
