Tiffany Thornton remembers late husband Chris Carney

HOT SPRINGS, Ark., Dec. 8 (UPI) — Tiffany Thornton paid tribute to late husband Chris Carney over the weekend.

The 29-year-old actress broke her silence on the former MTV star’s death Saturday on Instagram, penning an emotional post about Carney’s devotion to God and their family.

“There are so many things I want you to know about Chris but most importantly you must know how earnestly he pursued the Lord, especially in the past year,” she wrote. “He was so on fire for God and I know he flew straight into the arms of Jesus, his best friend.”

“I am so grateful that Chris and I got to fall in love all over again this past year,” she shared. “He was THE BEST father my children could ever have, an incredibly loving and sensitive husband, a wonderful brother and amazing son.”

Carney, 35, died early Friday morning in a single car crash that also killed his friend, Ezekiel Blanton, 37, who was driving. Sources told TMZ the two men were drinking heavily at The Tavern in Little Rock, Ark., prior to the accident.

Carney came to fame as the frontman for The Prom Kings, and went on to star on MTV series twentyfourseven. He and Thornton, who is known for Disney Channel sitcom Sonny with a Chance, married in 2011, and share 3-year-old son Kenneth and 21-month-old son Bentley.
