NEW YORK, Dec. 2 (UPI) — Longtime friends Tina Fey and Amy Poehler say dressing “sexy” isn’t limited to young people.
The comedians, at 45 and 44 respectively, took part in a Question and Answer session for Glamour magazine published Tuesday, agreeing sexy is subjective especially as one ages.
“Yeah, I do also think that by the time you are in your forties, what you want to wear and what you think is sexy is not always, like, for another person,” Fey added. “It’s what makes you feel good…Sexy is all relative.”
The Sisters co-stars discussed not only the subjectivity of “sexiness” but also their strong friendship, calling it somewhat of a “marriage.” The friends met in 1993 as improv students in Chicago.
“My mom always says it’s very important to have people in your life who knew you when,” Poehler said. “The older you get, the more you treasure that idea of someone knowing your family and where you came from, and being around during these times and these times.”
Fey joked the secret to their strong bond has to do with their schedules. “We don’t see each other very often,” she said.
Both Fey and Poehler are set to return to their old stomping grounds on Saturday Night Live Dec. 19. They have also hosted the Golden Globe Awards ceremony three times and made appearances on SNL’s 40th anniversary special.
The duo’s next collaborative film after Baby Mama, Sisters, releases the day before on Dec. 18.
