NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (UPI) — Tom Brady’s personal emails have now become public through his countersuit against the NFL.
Teaming up with the NFLPA, Brady aims to appeal the league’s decision to uphold its four-game suspension against the quarterback due to his involvement in Deflategate.
The emails have showcased both his funny and competitive side.
For instance, when emailing New England Patriot’s offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Brady refers to him as simply “babe.” It’s easy to gleam from this that Brady and McDaniels get along well, and why wouldn’t they after winning Super Bowl XLIX together back in February.
More unique, however ,is what Brady says about fellow NFL quarterback Peyton Manning. After being sent an article discussing their rivalry, Brady wrote back to his friend saying: “I’ve got another seven or eight years. He has two. That’s the final chapter. Game on.”
The shots don’t stop there. In another email, Brady mentions that “Manning needs things to be perfect to succeed, weather, his system, etc.”
Manning has yet to comment on the remarks, albeit in private and perhaps he never will.
