Tom Cruise is back as ‘Jack Reacher’

LOS ANGELES, June 15 (UPI) — Tom Cruise is back as Jack Reacher and a new teaser is out for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

Cruise returns to the screen as the former Army officer-turned drifter from the book series by Lee Child, Hollywood Reporter reports.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the book series has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide.

Cobie Smulders plays Major Susan Turner, who took the main character’s job commanding the military police, but gets arrested. Robert Knepper and Patrick Heusinger also appear in the action movie.

Ed Zwick directed the Paramount sequel to the original 2012 film, which grossed $218 million at box offices worldwide.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back hits theaters Oct. 21.
