Travis Scott apologizes for onstage homophobic rant

HOUSTON, Sept. 8 (UPI) — Rapper Travis Scott took to social media Sunday to apologize for offensive remarks he made at a concert back in March.

Video of the performance emerged over the weekend featuring Scott using homophobic slurs to call out audience members referring to them as “a bunch of queers.”

TMZ has the footage of the incident that took place at Houston’s House of Blues.

As the crowd-shot video circulated online, Scott took to Twitter to formally apologize for the outburst while showing support for the LGBT community.

This is not the first time Scott has gotten in trouble for a performance. In August the rapper was arrested for disorderly conduct after encouraging fans to storm a Lollapalooza stage during his set.
