WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 (UPI) — Republican presidential contender Donald Trump posted a video contrasting a masked Islamic State executioner with images of Democrats “having fun” as international crises erupt around the world.
The short Instagram video features the notorious IS “Jihadi John” militant and scenes from 2012 attack on the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya juxtaposed with a photo of President Barak Obama with a wide grin while in a golf cart and video of Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton dancing with her husband Bill.
Set with dramatic music, the text at the end says, “Politicians are having fun on our dime while the world is burning.” Trump caps it off with the caption, “Not under my watch.” The video received more than 10,000 likes by midmorning Friday.
Trump is among the large pool of Republican candidates seeking the presidential nomination for the 2016 election. His inflammatory comments in the past weeks, including calling undocumented immigrants rapists and murderers, has earned him a heap of criticism but also high ratings in the polls.
