‘Twin Peaks’ actors entreat David Lynch to return to revival

LOS ANGELES, April 8 (UPI) — Sheryl Lee, Sherilyn Fenn and Madchen Amick want David Lynch to return to the Twin Peaks revival.

The trio of actresses and co-stars Dana Ashbrook, Wendy Robie, Peggy Lipton, James Marshall, Grace Zabriskie, Kimmy Robertson, Jen Lynch, Al Strobel, Catherine E. Coulson and Charlotte Stewart released a video entreating the series creator to reconsider the Showtime project.

Twin Peaks was co-created by Lynch and Mark Frost, and originally aired from 1990 to 1991 on ABC. Lynch was attached to co-write and direct a limited, nine-episode continuation, but pulled out due to a disagreement over funding.

Lee, Fenn and Amick portrayed Laura Palmer, Audrey Horne and Shelly Johnson on the drama, respectively. The series followed FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) as he investigated Palmer’s murder and discovered supernatural elements in her hometown of Twin Peaks.
