LOS ANGELES, Dec. 4 (UPI) — Tyra Banks will return as Eve in the sequel to the 2000 Disney Channel hit Life-Size. The film also starred a young Lindsay Lohan in her follow-up to The Parent Trap. Lohan played Casey, a widower’s daughter who accidentally brings her Eve doll (Tyra Banks) to life while trying to do a spell to resurrect her mother.
Banks, whose show America’s Next Top Model will air its last episode Friday night after 22 seasons, will not only star in the sequel, she will also serve as an executive producer. She told Variety that casting has not been set and at this point, Lindsay Lohan is not involved.
“We have not talked about casting at all so I have no idea who is going to be the young person that will be the owner of Eve. We haven’t gotten to that,” Banks said.
The model/TV personality, who recently announced she is leaving her lifestyle show FABLife, said the movie should be released in late 2016.
“We’re looking at it as a holiday movie so hopefully holiday 2016. One thing is it’s a very precious project to the Disney Channel so they’ve been doing a lot of re-writes and making sure that this script is really right. I’m really excited about it. I think ‘Life-Size’ is so popular that it can be a feature film because it has such a cult following, so I’m really interested to see what the ratings are going to do for that. I think it’s going to be a blockbuster on TV.”
