Haniyeh refuses any project affecting Jordan's sovereignty

Gaza Nov. 30 (Petra) – Prime Minister of the deposed Palestinian Government Ismail Haniyeh said that they will not pass any project that would affect Jordan’s sovereignty and liquidate the Palestinian cause.

Haniyeh also refused settling Palestinian abroad or displacing them as well as the alternative homeland, affirming that there is no homeland for the Palestinians except Palestine.

Haniyeh made the remarks as he headed a delegation to the Jordanian field hospital in Gaza on Friday to express thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Jordanian people and government for their support to Palestinians in the coastal enclave.

He praised ties between Jordanian and Palestinian people, noting Jordan’s role in standing by the Palestinian people over the years, including hosting Palestinian refugees.

Haniyeh thanked the hospital’s staff for alleviating the suffering of the Gazan people. He also praised Allah for the safety of the hospital staff, following the fall of a number of rockets during the Israeli aggression on the strip.

Head of the hospital Khaldoon Al Shammari said the Jordanian field hospital staff enjoy high morale and will continue to provide medical service for Palestinians in the strip.

The total number of patients who benefited from the hospital since its deployment in January, 2009 exceeded 935,000.
