ROME: Ambassador of the UAE to Italy Nasser Rahma Al Shamsi today conveyed greetings to Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, Prime Minister Mario Monti, Foreign Minister Giulio Maria Terzi di Sant’Agata and the people of Italy from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister on the occasion of Christmas and the New Year.
This took place at a reception hosted by the Italian President at the Quirinal Palace in honor of ambassadors accredited to Italy to exchange seasonal greetings.
For his part, President Napolitano asked the UAE ambassador to convey greetings to the UAE leadership and stressed the significance of the current and future UAE-Italian relations.
A number of senior Italian officials were in attendance at the reception.
