SANA’A, Dec. 29 (Saba) – Two gunmen on a motorbike shot dead on Saturday a soldier of the political security service in the southeastern governorate of Hadramout.
A security source in Hadramout said soldier Mutea Baqutian was on his way to the branch office of the political security service in Mukalla, the capital of Hadramout, when two terrorists on a motorbike gunned him down, then fled.
Several senior military and security officials have been killed in similar attacks in the country this year.
On December 25, two army officers were killed by gunmen riding motorbikes in separate parts of the capital Sana’a.
The two army officers were Brigadier Fadel al-Radfani, an adviser to the Defense Minister, who was shot outside the ministry’s headquarters, and Col. Saleem al-Gharbani, who was killed near a military facility in Sana’a.
