WAM Tunis, Dec 30th, 2012 (WAM) — Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) has elected the Kuwaiti candidate Dr. Abdullah Mhareb as a new chief.
The announcement was made by the Kuwaiti Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Nayef Al-Hajraf and chairman of the Kuwaiti delegation at the conference, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
Dr. Abdullah Mhareb will work as the director general of the organization.
Dr Mhareb got 12 votes against Abdellatif Abid, the Tunisian candidate, and current President of this edition, who received nine votes.
