Hazza hails Mohamed bin Zayed's support to sports


WAM ABU DHABI: H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Honorary President of the UAE Football Association today thanked His Highness General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for naming the new stadium in Al Ain City "Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium" "The generous initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed provides serves as an incentive for me and for all those in the sports sector to make more efforts to maintain the current achievements, make more achievements and to promote the UAE at all regional and international events," he said.




Sheikh Hazza attributed the achievements of national teams in the UAE and abroad to the support extended by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed to sports which, he said, reflects the interest of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in sports.




He also noted that His Highness Sheikh Mohamed diligently and sincerely follows up all efforts to fulfill the aspirations of Emirati youth, to recognise and respond to their needs and priorities.




H.H Sheikh Hazza said the new state-of-the-art stadium in Al Ain, which will be opened in December this year to accommodate over 25000 seats, reflects and is part of the urban development boom in the UAE.




"The boom of sports does not stop here. The UAE leadership is interested in providing all it takes to reinvigorate this sector, namely qualified human resources and modern programs and practices to enable national sports to a have stronger international presence in the future," Sheikh Hazza added.
