MoH Under-Secretary visits UAQ Hospital


WAM ABU DHABI, 23rd March, 2014 (WAM) — Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health, accompanied by Dr. Youssif Al Serkal, Assistant Under-Secretary for Hospitals, has visited Umm Al Qaiwain Hospital.




Rashid Al Shehi, Director of Umm Al Qaiwain Hospital, briefed the under-secretaries about the hospital’s scope of work as well as the departments and services available to patients and visitors.




Dr. Al Olama also viewed the current status of the hospital and its capabilities, calling for the importance of renovating departments to correspond with the Ministry’s strategy and the progress of the country in all fields.




He recommended the hiring of more staff for the emergency department and to provide prompt health services for all patients and critical cases in the emergency department within ten minutes. He also called on employees to change the signage boards in all hospital areas to be more descriptive.




The Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Health also requested the hospital to expedite the employment of an x-ray technician as soon as possible to fill a vacancy and update medical equipment to comply with international standards and specifications.
