Jordan warns Israel of its actions against Al-Aqsa Mosque

Amman, July 13 (Petra) — Jordan, on Sunday, warned Israel that its policies and measures against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and denying access to Muslim worshippers into the mosque would inflame "the fires of hatred and violence".

The government condemned the targeting of Palestinian worshipers on Sunday in the Al-Aqsa mosque, which led to the injury of 20 Palestinians.

State Minister for Media Affairs and Government Spokesman, Mohammed al-Momani, said the Israeli occupation authorities are using military force against the caretakers and guards Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to help Jewish extremists who have no goal but to the desecrate the holy mosque and inflame Muslim passions.

The minister called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility and protect Al-Aqsa Mosque and Muslim and Christian sanctities and the Palestinian people from Israeli violations.
