Suspected Afghan insurgents arrested

KABUL, Afghanistan, Nov. 7 (UPI) —

A Taliban attack facilitator and six suspected insurgents have been arrested in Afghanistan by Afghan and coalition security forces, officials say.

The unnamed suspect was detained in Logar province, and is allegedly responsible for mortar, indirect fire and improvised explosive device attacks, a statement from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force said Wednesday.

The coalition troops also detained six suspected insurgents and seized a variety of weapons in the operation, including a rocket-propelled grenade, grenade munitions, numerous rockets, IED-making material and an assault rifle, the statement said.
