Courtney Stodden reconciles with estranged husband Doug Hutchison

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 12 (UPI) —

Courtney Stodden has reconciled with estranged husband Doug Hutchison.

The 19-year-old television personality told Fox 411 she and the 54-year-old actor are back together and engaged for the second time. The couple plan to renew their vows by the end of the year.

"Courtney realized just how much love she really had for Doug," Stodden’s mother explained. "They really love each other and wanted to be together."

Stodden and Hutchison’s age gap drew controversy and criticism when they wed in May 2011. Stodden was only 16 years old at the time, but her mother supported the match and signed off on the marriage certificate. The couple separated in November 2013, and Stodden attributed the break up to "the obvious, our age gap of 34 years."

"Right now I’m just looking to have fun and to grow into who I am as a woman and be single and independent and build my own foundation," she said at the time. "I’m just taking the time to be me and be single and be 19 and to try and be as much as a normal 19 year old as I possibly can."

Hutchison is known for his role as corrections officer Percy Wetmore in The Green Mile, and also appeared as Horace Goodspeed on Lost and Davros on 24. He and Stodden were featured on VH1 reality show Couples Therapy in October 2012.
