SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 4 (UPI) — A Utah man has received praise after posting a photo describing an incident in which he gained a new appreciation for his wife after mistaking her for another woman.
Jason Hewlett, known as “The Entertainer” on Facebook, of Salt Lake City posted a photo claiming that he “sort of” cheated on his wife.
“Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I think I sort of cheated on my wife today,” he wrote. To explain what I mean, I was at Target getting a few manly things…and as I went to pay I saw this woman in line that knocked me out. I thought. ‘Wow, some lucky guy is with her’.”
The woman Hewlett was describing turned out to actually be his wife, who he was unaware was also shopping at the store.
“In a split second I realized it was my wife!” he wrote. “You know, it was just out of context to see my spouse at the same store, in the same line, living her life and not know she might be at the same place, same time, different car.”
Hewlett went on to explain that he tried to get his wife’s attention through text, but when he failed he simply took the time to admire her and ponder his feelings of gratitude for their relationship.
The post has received over 300,000 likes and 200,000 shares on Facebook.
