LOS ANGELES, March 24 (UPI) — Vivica A. Fox will return for Independence Day 2.
The 50-year-old actress and director Roland Emmerich announced the news Monday on Twitter. Fox will appear alongside Independence Day co-star Jeff Goldblum and newcomers Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
Fox portrayed Jasmine Dubrow in the original film and will reprise the role in the sequel. The character is wife to Steven Hiller (Will Smith), but the actor is not attached to the new movie. Usher will reportedly play the couple’s son instead.
