LANDOVER, Md., Sept. 9 (UPI) — An NFL team’s parking lot is a car-guy’s dream. Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Mercedes, and Jaguar are just a few names in the impressive arsenal of automobiles that players and coaches keep in tow.
But Washington running back Alfred Morris is bucking the trend with his bicycle.
In a parking lot reserved for “Alfred Morris, #46″ NFL Network personality Jeff Darlington snapped a picture of Morris’ mode of transportation. Morris biked to work on a red-wheeled and white-framed “compact” vehicle.
Darlington wrote the caption: “In a parking lot of Bentleys & Beemers, Redskins RB Alfred Morris (@trey_deuces) has a different way to get to work.”
Morris, 25, famously drove a 1991 Mazda 626 sedan to work a few years ago, calling it his “Bentley.”
Morris has amassed 876 carries, 3,962 yards and 28 touchdowns in three seasons in Washington. Morris has yet to miss a game in his NFL career.
Morris signed a four-year, $2.223 million with a $124,000 signing bonus in 2012. He makes $1.542 million this season and becomes a free agent in 2016.
