WASHINGTON, April 15 (UPI) — The Washington Wizards unveiled the new team logo for the 2015-2016 season.

The new logo was first tweeted by USA Today’s Jeff Zillgitt. It has the Washington Monument incorporated into the ball with two stars on either side of the word “Washington” and another above the monument, an echo of the three-starred D.C. flag.

It also has the white stripe like Washington Capitals logo.

I dig that new Wizards logo. It’s got a soccer feel. The best things about soccer are the logos and names. The worst is everything else.— Hardwood Paroxysm (@HPbasketball) April 15, 2015

Very hockey-ish. I like it. https://t.co/O4oV8tXWAp— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) April 15, 2015
