NEW YORK, Sept. 24 (UPI) — Popular Nickelodeon sketch Good Burger was brought back to life Wednesday, when Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited to perform the comedy bit with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
Late night host Fallon set the scene when he starting reminiscing about one of his first jobs.
“Back in the ’90s I worked in a fast food restaurant,” the comedian said. “I remember it like it was yesterday.”
Fallon was then joined by Mitchell, reprising his role of Ed (now promoted to supervisor) on the familiar Good Burger store first made famous on Nickelodeon’s comedy series All That, which later went on to become a movie of its own in 1997.
The pair got into the usual Good Burger hijinks involving miscommunications with customers and the mishandling of food.
The reunion became complete however when Thompson entered the scene as construction worker Lester Oats who Mitchell and Fallon mistook for their father. The hilarious scene ended with the entire cast, including rapper Black Thought and Tonight Show announcer Steve Higgins, signing together a rendition of Ed’s classic song about being a dude.
The Good Burger reunion comes after Nickelodeon recently announced that they are looking to revamp some of their other classic shows from the 90s such as Rugrats and Hey Arnold!
Mitchell currently stars in Nick’s Game Shakers while Thompson is due back on Saturday Night Live for season 41.
